Can you disable the AirTag sound?

AirTags have a security mechanism so that one cannot follow people. When an AirTag follows unknown devices long enough then the devices followed gets a message that it is followed by a third party. The followed device can play a sound to identify or find the AirTag.

I fully understand why. Butchered comes the downside. We gave an AirTag to our son so we know where he is, as this is much more accurate than „Find My IPhone“. His friends which he hangs out with keep pushing the „make a sound“ notifications and as this is annoying our kid he leaves the AirTag at home.

Any chance to disable this sound?
