I just got this iPhone 14 plus today and the front facing camera works fine so does the flash, but I can’t get the rear camera working it’s just black. It also doesn’t work on third party apps like Instagram or Snapchat. So far I have tried restarting the phone, resetting all of my settings, updated my software to the most up to date version, and checked app permissions.

If you are only seeing a black screen when using the camera in those third-party apps, you may need to check out these steps to see How to manually update apps on your Apple device, or if that doesn't help, see How to contact an app developer for help with those specific apps.
On the other hand, if the camera is not working with any apps, including the Camera app, it could indicate a hardware issue, and your best bet would be to Contact Apple for support and service.
