Cant get siri to play icloud music on homepod

When i ask Siri to play anything that is not specifically in my apple music library it says "on it"... "one sec"...."one moment".... "i couldn't find <requested music> in your apple music library"... then sometimes it will say... "you can ask me to play a radio station or ask me to play your music in a different app" .. I ask to play a radio station and this is the response .. "one sec...."still working"...."hmm, this is going a little too slow"

I use an iPhone 13 Pro, running iOS 16.2. I pay for Apple one and iTunes match. This service used to work but not anymore. I have gone through all the suggestions i can find online but nothing solves the problem. Same network, primary user me, signed onto icloud account, etc.

Any solutions?
