I bought a 10th gen iPad and a first gen Apple Pencil then bought the adapter on Amazon and have a cord with usb-c and the new iPad charger on the other end and the pair option is not coming up

Why is my first generation Apple Pencil not connecting to my 10th GEN iPad even with the adapter

I really think you might have purchased the wrong Apple Pencil adapter.

You need to have purchased and be using the new and genuine Apple $9 U.S.D. USB-C to Lightning adapter.

Tap the online Apple Store link below.

USB-C to Apple Pencil Adapter - Apple

You need to/MUST purchase this new adapter to be able to use ( charge and pair ) the 1st gen Apple Pencil with the new base model 10th gen iPad.
