No sound notifications for Mail.app

No sound notifications for Mail.app

As the title says, I am not getting any mail sound notifications any more, running latest Ventura on a M2 MacBook Air. If you look at the screenshot below there is no option for Sound notifications in Mail.

I created a new test user account on my Mac and when I do this I see the option for Mail sound notifications. Not looking for a solution where I have remove and re-add my account.

Anyone else seen this and no of a potential fix?

I forgot to mention also, check Alert Volume under the Sound Settings. That may possibly be set down too low. Also check the Alert Sound affect itself. Maybe the one you have selected has a very low tone that's hard to hear.

Thanks, I managed to fix it, not sure exactly how, removed a couple of recent apps I was not using (Proton mail bridge I’m suspecting) and a few reboots and I had sound back. The notification setting is interesting though, a fresh user profile on Ventura has a toggle for mail sounds.
