Copied flash drive is showing sidebar

I copied photos from a Nikon memory card to a flash drive on my iMac Monterey. My side bar is showing on the copied flash drive so I hid the side bar, but when I take out the flash drive and reconnect it, the sidebar shows up again. I want to give the flash drive to a friend but I don't want my sidebar showing. Will my sidebar show up when my friend connects the drive to their computer or does the sidebar only show up when I connect it to my computer? Thank you for your help.
