Why is it when I search on Google the Search suggestions don’t appear anymore on my safari app

why is it searching with yahoo instead of google ?? when I open safari and search something it automatically searches with yahoo, I tried everything to get rid of it, changing it to google in my safari preferences does absolutely nothing. If I change it to duckduckgo or ecosia it works and searches with them but if I change it to google it searches with yahoo. Its annoying and I want to get rid of it. I searched a lot of solutions up but they all want me to download random apps for 10$ so idk what to do. please help

Why can’t I see safari as a browser option? Why am I blocked from seeing my options on known well used apps? Why am I not seeking safari as my browser option? why am I blocked from choosing search options and from seeing options on well known and used websites such as Home Depot and Lowe’s?

You may have them disabled.

To turn them on with a Mac, go to Safari > Preferences > Search and ensure that the relevant boxes are checked.

On iPhone, go to Settings > Safari and turn on "Search Engine Suggestions".

Thanks but didn’t work, what did work was in Safari app, tap Address bar and turn on (Show ip Address) that worked for me, but appreciate your time
