MP3 not working when air dropped
I'm trying to transfer an MP3 via airdrop that works on my mac and my iPhone but when I airdrop it to another iPhone when it t doesn't play (sound-wise) any ideas

If we understand correctly, you are using AirDrop to share an audio file from your iPhone to another iPhone and it doesn't play on that iPhone with audio, but the audio file works on your iPhone and Mac. Based on this info, this is not an issue with the file but the other iPhone, so please make sure these steps are followed on the iPhone having this issue:
"1. Force the app to close. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
2. Restart your device
Restart your iPhone or restart your iPad. Then open the app to see if it works as expected.
3. Check for updates
To see if updates are available for the app, open the App Store, tap your profile icon, then scroll down to see if updates are available. If updates aren't available for the app, update the software on your iPhone or iPad.
4. Delete the app, then redownload it
Delete the app. When you do this, you might lose data that was stored in the app. Then redownload the app. Then check to see if the problem with the app is fixed."

You should also check if that iPhone is connected to a Bluetooth speaker or other audio output device that could explain why the audio is not playing from the iPhone itself.
