Can't see contact and calendars app for Outlook checkbox in iCloud for Windows

Running Windows 10 22H2 and Outlook 2019

I've installed the latest version of iCloud for windows. I've tried reinstalling it multiple times

I can't see any option to sync the "Contacts and calendar" like I used to in older version of the iCloud for Windows.

I've confirmed that the iCloud plugin in active in Outlook also.

What's going on? How do I get my contacts synced between Outlook and iCloud?

I’ve given my complete specs of the setup and also pointed out that it used to work until I upgraded.

the fundamental issue is that the checkbox for outlook sync is missing in the iCloud settings page. So what made it go missing after updating the iCloud software? Some real practical advice or steps to diagnose or fix it would be welcome.

Hello InformedBuyerR,

First make sure you have covered all of the steps in this resource which is geared towards your iCloud issue: If you can’t add iCloud Calendars, Mail, or Contacts to Outlook - Apple Support

  1. "Check that your PC meets the iCloud system requirements and is connected to the internet.
  2. Download iCloud for Windows and sign in with your Apple ID. If you have multiple Apple IDs that you use with iCloud, check that you're logged in to iCloud for Windows with the same account that you use on your other devices.
  3. Check the System Status page for any known issues affecting iCloud Mail, Contacts, or Calendars.
  4. Make sure that the date and time settings on your PC are correct.
  5. Make copies of the information you store in iCloud.

To set up iCloud Mail in Outlook or if you don't use iCloud for Windows, set up two-factor authentication for your Apple ID and sign in to Outlook with your Apple ID user name and an app-specific password."

If so, this resource on the Microsoft support site should help you get Contacts and Calendars added with Outlook:

We hope this helps.
