Several times I tried screen recording a FaceTime conversation and made sure to unmute the microphone, but there is still no sound recorded in the video. Does anyone have any tips how to get sound to record?

Keep in mind,
Some apps might not allow you to record audio or video. You can't record your screen and use screen mirroring at the same time.
Try recording the screen in another application to test if you're able to record audio as well. The steps in this link will help: Record the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
