How do I stop iPhone/iPad from asking for repeated Apple ID password request

You don't have a password required for App Store transactions? It suggests to me that something on your device is signed in or was downloaded with a different Apple ID, or has been configured to require a password be entered every time it wants to do something.



Require a password on your iPhone or iPad

  1. Open the Settings app.
  2. Tap your name.
  3. Tap Media & Purchases.
  4. Tap Password Settings, then choose the setting that you want.


If you don't see Password Settings, you have turned on Face ID or

Touch ID for App Store and iTunes Purchases. To change this, go back to

Settings, tap "Face ID & Passcode" or "Touch ID & Passcode",

then turn off Face ID or Touch ID next to iTunes & App Store.


Since you apparently have another thread going about this subject I am going to request that one of them be deleted so I am not duplicating my own effort twice. ;-)
