It can help to try seeing if any accessibility options are enabled on the device, to help rule those out as being the reason for the different colors.
This page can help out with going over those: About the vision accessibility features on your iPhone or iPad
They will be found in Settings > Accessibility > Display & Text Size. If any are enabled here, such as Smart Invert, Classic Invert, Color Filters, go ahead and try disabling them for the moment.
