How do I turn off backwards compass on Apple Watch?

Try to force close the app

1. Press and hold down the side button until the shutdown screen appears.
2. Release the side button, then press and hold the Digital Crown to force quit the active app.

Try this:

Open the Apple Watch app on your iPhone

Tap My Watch (bottom left corner of the screen)

Tap General

Scan down to Return to Clock - Make sure Always is checked

Also inside the Return to clock settings that lobsterghost1 mentioned tap on Compass and set to custom and then always (return to clock)

And turn OFF Return to app

It way need changing hack if you want to go orienteering

So "backtracking" not ""backwards". Got it.

I still cannot delete Compass off my Watch but if it worked fir you, that's great.

The settings and force quit that lobsterghost1 and I pointed out will be useful so that you don't let it happen to you again.

Is that a third party compass? The stock one cannot be deleted.
