I have a MacBook Pro 13" early 2015, Monterey 12.6.2, as much as it can be currently updated. I have an iPad Air with iPADOS 16.2. From the iPad, I created a Shared Album of my library to share with my wife, who has a newer MacBook Air with Ventura. Now, I can't see any photos on my MacBook! Any idea how I can get them back?

Are you sure you created a Shared Album? Sounds more like you created a Shared Library, which Monterey cannot see.
If that is the case, you can move your photos back to your private library from the shared library. Then you will see them again, but your wife will not.

I have the same problem. After realizing that synchronization won't work on Monterey I deleted the Shared Library. Unfortunately Photos on Monterey still won't synchronize any new Photos taken after the date the Shared Library was set up. Any idea how to fix that?
Can your MacBook with Monterey see the photos from the Shared library in Safari at www.icloud.com , when you sign in with your Apple ID and open the Photos.app there?
On Ventura I can see the shared library in Safari at www.icloud.com . It would be good to know, if we can access it using the web interface to iCloud, even on older system versions.
I decided to let it ride. I can see the shared library on my iPad and iPhone, so if I need a particular shot on the MacBook, I just send it via Airdrop.
