Hi all,
I thought adding a new user to the apple TV would work similarly to Netflix etc.
I use an app called "infuse" for media content, which can also sync to iCloud. However when I switch Apple TV users - the content of infuse stays the same.
youtube, Plex, and other apps stay the same.
given this, my question is - what does having multiple users on the Apple TV achieve?

Thanks so much for the explanation. Seems half-implemented to me. I would have though it would be like switching users and each user would set up their Home Screen as they wanted. Each app would be reinstalled as needed.

The multiple users in the configurations of Apple TV (4th generation or later), tvOS 13 or later, is for select Apple services, not for services from third party apps.
Its effect is probably best illustrated in the Apple TV app, where watch progress (and watch history) are personalized, as well as recommendations, and the library is for that user as well.
As Apple states
"Switching member profiles on Apple TV creates a custom experience, with Up Next lists, music, Game Center data, and content recommendations personalized for the currently active user."
You can leave feedback regarding the Home Screen. As far as switching content, Apple would only be able to include for their services.
