Spotlight search still sow after full reset I have been dealing with really slow spotlight searches ever since updating to iOS 16. I recently did a full reset based on forum feedback, but my spotlight search is still unbearably slow (about 7 seconds on my iPhone 11 Pro). Any help with this would be greatly appreciated.

Search feature stopped working completely in iPhone 16 Pro Hi guys, it’s been a few days since I started experiencing this weird bug where the search feature stopped working completely in many aspects of iOS (Spotlight, App Library, Settings, Photos, Notes). As you can see in the photo, Spotlight is completely unresponsive. I’m on my 16 Pro (iOS 18.0.1) and this bug emerged on its own, it wasn’t there at the beginning. I tried a few solutions (hard restart, resetting settings, changing language and area to force a re index) but none worked. I was hoping you could provide me with some guidance. I’m willing to reset my iPhone as last resort, I’m just wondering if there was something less drastic I could try first. Video of the bug. [Re-Titled by Moderator]

Try and Force Restart your iPhone EXACTLY as shown below and see whether that resolves the issue:

Press and quickly release Volume UP button
Press and quickly release Volume DOWN button
Press and Hold the SIDE button until an Apple logo appears and then release the Side button (Can take up to 20 seconds. (DO NOT release Side Button when invited to Slide Power OFF).

I recommend that you wait for about an hour after the above action has been performed and then check whether Spotlight search is working properly on your iPhone.
