Getting rid of “other” storage on apple watch

So I am trying to get rid of my moms other storage on her Apple Watch because there is no more space. I have tried deleting apps, deleting random files, etc and it is still there. What else can I do to delete that stuff?

Greetings Pasta021,

Thanks for reaching out in Apple Support Communities.

We understand that after deleting several items from your mother's Apple Watch the amount of storage is still not updating. There are a few more steps that you can take to ensure that this information is removed from her device completely.

Restart your Apple Watch. This may seem like a simple step to take. However, it refreshes the device and the software and can often resolve several issues.

Unpair and update your Apple Watch. Completing this steps will restore your device to factory settings and helps to resolve behaviors that are related to the software.

  1. Keep your Apple Watch and iPhone close together as you unpair them.
  2. Open the Watch app on your iPhone.
  3. Go to the My Watch tab and tap your watch at the top of the screen.
  4. Tap the info button the info icon next to the watch that you want to unpair.
  5. Tap Unpair Apple Watch.
  6. For GPS + Cellular models, choose to keep your cellular plan.
  7. Tap again to confirm. You might need to enter your Apple ID password to disable Activation Lock. Before erasing all content and settings on your Apple Watch, your iPhone creates a new backup of your Apple Watch. You can use the backup to restore a new Apple Watch.

Next, set up your Apple Watch with your iPhone. When asked whether you want to set up as new or restore from a backup, choose to set up as new or if you want to restore your Apple Watch from its latest backup, follow the steps on the screen.

We hope this helps.

Have a wonderful day!
