Books crashing in ipad pro after update to IOS 16.2

Can please somebody help? This problem started after the update to IOS 15 actually but somehow after following some advice like closing the app, starting again the ipad, etc. I was able to solve the problem. This time after update to 16.2 Books crashes permanently and nothing seems to solve the problem. Please Apple help.

books app crashes frequently- app is unusable Running 15.6.1 on an iPad Air gen 3. Apple Books crashes almost all the time. If I shut down and reboot, it can take 20 minutes or more of Open Books. Less than a minute later it crashes. It also happens at least once a day when I haven't rebooted. I can be reading for a long time, then close the app. Later when I open Books again, it crashes repeatedly. Another characteristic of the failure is all of my books disappear and slowly reappear. Open Books, only 2 books are there. Some of the other books may reappear; sometimes I have to restart several times until it looks like most/all of the books are there again. This can take 20 minutes or more before I see my books. Another characteristic is that the books are no longer in order. Example: I sort my books by "Recent." All of my books disappear except for those two. When the other books reappear, it is not in the same order, even though Recent is still selected. Choosing Recent again does not change this. Is this they way the app works?

Unable to open book on Apple Books app in my iPad. For the last month, I have intermittently not been able to open books in my library. Now I can’t at all. Most of the books no longer display their covers, now simply a solid cover with the book title. I have updated to IOS 18.3.1. I have heard that the latest few updates are the cause of the problem. Thanks for your answer. Will force start the ipad not erase whatever is saved on the Ipad and Books App? It is just this particular app which keeps crashing nothing else.

Offloading the app did not help.

Offloading the app and downloading again may help.

A force restart will not erase anything.
