Problems with 120Hz and Screen Recording

Hello Apple Community, I am facing a problem with screen recording gameplay in 90Hz. I play PUBG Mobile where we can see and feel a difference in the FPS and I can assure that we definitely won’t like when FPS are caped ingame. I play on 90fps, the highest option in the game, and it runs smoothly but as soon as I start screen recording the screen refresh rate (Hz/FPS) are capped to what feels like 40 which is annoying cause I want to record good gameplay but I can’t with the fps limited. Please provide help in resolving this issue.

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

Hello faran145,

Based on your post, it sounds like you're experiencing some performance issues with PUBG Mobile when screen recording. If this is the case, software updates for your device and the app can often help address potential performance issues. If they're not already, we'd recommend updating your iPhone 14 Pro and the app.

  1. Update your iPhone or iPad
  2. How to manually update apps on your Apple device

After updating, try to Record the screen on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch while using the app again. If the behavior persists, and it seems to be isolated to this specific app, we'd recommend connecting with the app developer. They'd be best equipped to address any unexpected behavior with their app. Here's How to contact an app developer.

Cheers!
