Wondering, when minimized, do apps like Safari continue to refresh - when I look at my activity log it seems so. If so, is there a way on a Mac Studio to turn that off, so when you minimize Safari or anything else, it stays dormant until you open it again?
Thanks. I tend to leave apps open, but don't really have any memory issues, so I guess it doesn't matter too much either way - unless you have any ideas on the subject of leaving lots of apps open all day.
You're welcome. As long as you aren't having memory issues leaving them open is fine. Most of my Macs are on 24/7 although I only keep a browser open. Not for any reason other than I don't see the point of keeping apps open I may not use. Just a personal choice. I also never add anything to my Desktops. Just clutters them up. But that's me.
An app when minimized doesn't behave any differently than when it's open. It's only meant to hide its windows. I'm not aware of anything that will suspend all activity while an app is open.
