The mac app store is not showing any of my purchases, so I cannot see or update them. It showed some updates, but not all.
It looks like it has forgotten everything before this year.
I am using the correct apple id. This is on Monterey 12.6.2 on a mac m1 mini.
what can I do? Apple support keeps shifting me to iOS support but this is a mac app store problem.

Don't click Update.
Start Apple Store (from the Dock) -> tap your profile (bottom left).
In the right pane you see all purchases.

Start App Store -> tap Store -> View my account -> Login (if prompted).

on apple music I can see my music purchases, that is fine
on the web purchase history, it only goes to July 2022, but not earlier.
The mac app purchases are not visible anywhere on my mac mini running Monterey. I just verified that on an old laptop running Catalina I do see purchased apps in the mac app store. Somewhere between Catalina and Monterey there is a problem.
on apple music I can see my music purchases, that is fine
Try this:
Start Music -> tap iTunes Store (on the side bar) -> click Account -> show My Account -> sign in.
(In the right pane) -> scroll to Purchase history -> tap See All -> tap Last 90 Days, then select a different date range.

Do you use the same Apple ID?
Your Apple ID is the personal account you use with all Apple products and services. It includes the email address and password you use to sign in, as well as the contact, payment, and security details that you use with Apple.
You can’t merge multiple Apple ID accounts.
That is the problem. When I do this I do *not* see my purchases. Something is broken. I see "no purchases' which makes no sense since the updates tab did show apps to update (but not all).
