Proximity sensor iPhone 14 Pro Max

Have an issue with proximity sensor. When I receive a call and see the slide to answer there is lock icon in dynamic island. I put it in my ear and screen goes off (correct) but when I move it away from my ear (to see the screen), the screen has a delay to show for 2 seconds. If I unlock the phone the delay goes away! Of course everything works ok when I call someone (because the phone it's already unlocked). Proximity sensor works great then. So what I mean is that proximity sensor is slow to lighten screen when the phone is locked. With my previous iPhone 13 Pro everything is ok. Any thoughts?

This thing drove me crazy so after many resets and tries I found what caused the bug. An it is crazy. I performed reset without iCloud backup. Clean install. And started to install all the apps I use one by one to see what caused it. Answer: problem caused by lock screen setup. If you setup a lock screen WITHOUT widgets (not even above the hour) everything works as it should. Proximity sensor works ok with AOD on. Only with hour and date above. You can change hour font too. But...If you add a widget ie battery percentage the bug reproduces. Crazy? Of course. Please Apple developers. Try it and have it in mind.

Well unfortunately version 16.3 that came out yesterday didn't solve the issue. When AOD is on proximity sensor doesn't work properly in incoming calls. There is still a two sec delay to lighten the screen when you move it away from your ear. I repeat: when AOD is off it works fine so it should be a software issue. Very disappointed.

Also 10 more people have the same problem (there are 10 me too) here in my post and not a single word from a moderator for over a month now.
