iphone 14 Pro Max freezes multiple times a day

my iphone 14 pro max is currently freezing/glitching several times a day. the only fix I have found is to shut down/restart. Any one else having this issue? I am diligent about my updates, so I know its not an issue of not having the latest update installed.

So far I am not at all impressed with my new iphone 14 pro max as compared to my previous iphones. I rarely if ever have full signal, and Im currently living in a 5G supported neighborhood!

Hello TeresaG0709,

Thanks for posting in the Apple Support Communities.

We understand you're looking for assistance with your iPhone 14 Pro Max that seems to have slow performance, right?

If we have that correct, let's see if any of the steps of the following resource help with what's occurring. There are multiple factors that could be related to this, and we'll get you started with one suggestion below. Check out the remaining suggestions, here: About iOS or iPadOS performance on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support

Check your network conditions

Many apps on your device require an internet connection for their content and other functionality. If the network that you're connected to is congested—for example, at an event with many people using the same network—apps might take a while to open or display their content. Your device can also seem slow as it repeatedly reconnects to new cell towers when you're in a moving vehicle.

Even if your device indicates a strong signal, you might need to wait, try again in a different location, or use available Wi-Fi. If you continue to experience issues with cellular data speed, availability, or performance in multiple locations, contact your carrier.

Learn more about cellular data.

In addition, check to see what your 5G settings are on your iPhone. Since you mentioned rarely having full signal, adjusting this setting may improve the reception for your iPhone. We'll include the options below, and you can learn more on this, here: Use 5G with your iPhone - Apple Support

Learn about 5G options

The default settings for 5G on iPhone are optimized for battery life and data usage based on your data plan. You can customize these options for when to use 5G and how much data to use in some apps.

Find these options by going to Settings > Cellular > Cellular Data Options or Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data Options. If you're using Dual SIM, go to Settings > Cellular or Settings > Mobile Data and choose the number whose options you want to change.

Voice & Data

Choose how your iPhone uses the 5G network, which can affect battery life.

• 5G Auto: Enables Smart Data mode. When 5G speeds don’t provide a noticeably better experience, your iPhone automatically switches to LTE, saving battery life.

• 5G On: Always uses 5G network when it’s available. This might reduce battery life.

• LTE: Uses only LTE network, even when 5G is available.

We hope this is able to help. If not, confirm what steps you've taken already and provide any additional helpful information. We'll use these details to provide a better suggestion to get this cleared up.

Have a great day!
