my browser was automatically updated to Opera, from Safari. Now my passwords have been lost.

My browser was automatically updated to Opera from Safari. Now my passwords and bookmarks have all been lost!!!! Can I go back to Safari?

Just launch Safari from Applications or the Dock. Then, change your Mac's default browser app back to Safari: Make Safari your default web browser on Mac - Apple Support. Your saved passwords should still be there.
