IOS update notification banner is frozen on my Home Screen and preventing me unlocking or powering off phone

My phone updated to IOS 16.1.2 this morning and now the update notification banner is frozen right in the middle of my screen.

I cannot perform ANY action (including swiping the “slide to power off” screen control whilst it is there so I cannot shut down my phone an reboot it.

I cannot log into my phone because it is sitting right on top of the number display (thus preventing me inputting my passcode).

How can I remove this frozen banner?
