Please allow us to disable badges for specific messages in Imessage

We are currently unable to stop badge notifications for specific messages in Imessage. This is particularly frustrating when part of a group chat that you want to continue receiving messages for, but don't want a massive amount of badge notifications on the messages app icon. The only current option is to turn off all icon badges for imessage, which is not a good solution because I still want the badges for most conversations.

I image this is a massive frustration to anyone who is in any group messages in Imessage.

I am actually very surprised that this option still doesn't exist. I image there are apple developers who are in group chats who are annoyed by this lack of ability.
