Problems with AP-mode wireless scanner

So I recently upgraded to a 2021 MacBook Pro 16,

I have a Epson ES-300W portable scanner that I use a lot and it will connect and work for a minute or 2 then shows its disconnected and will not work again until I have removed all the driver's & software. once I have it working I can scan 3 to 5 pages then I get a error. ( not able to retrieve data )

What could be causing this and are there any possible solutions?

I still have my old laptop and it works fine on that one, both in AP-mode and through USB. ( late 2013 13' MacBook Pro )

and the scanner also works fine on my desktop at home, ( late 2013 Mac Pro )

so that would eliminate the scanner as the point of failure. but with the 16" MBP I cannot connect it VIA USB due to the lack of USB ports on the computer, I have tried a USB-C hub and will not recognize it as well as a USB to USB-C adaptor from apple with no success.

Hello Ka1ne,

If you are experiencing issues using your scanner with your MacBook Pro, please check out this link, which has some information and suggestions that may help: Solve scanning problems on Mac

Solve scanning problems on Mac

If you want to scan but can’t find your scanner in the list of available scanners, or if the scan doesn’t finish, try these solutions.

For information about using Continuity Camera to scan images, see Insert photos and scans with Continuity Camera.

Note: The solutions described below might be slightly different for your scanner. If these instructions differ from what you see onscreen, refer to the documentation that came with the app you’re using.

• Make sure the scanner is plugged into an electrical outlet and turned on, and that its cables are securely connected.

• If you previously saw a scanning option and you don’t see one anymore, try deleting the scanner (or multifunction printer) and adding it again.
• If you’re pressing a button on your scanner to perform the scan, try using an app instead, such as Image Capture or Preview, or go to the scanner manufacturer’s website to see what other apps are recommended. See Scan an image using Image Capture.
• If the scanner is connected to the USB port on an AirPort base station, connect the scanner to a USB port on your Mac.
• If more than one user is logged in to your Mac, log out every user. Then log in again and try to scan.

Thanks!
