When I connect my IPAD Pro, to a Dell external monitor, the sound, always get’s out from the monitor.
Even if I have headphones connected, all sounds will get from Monitor.
How can I make sure that my IPad is the speaker, and connect headphones?

When connected via HDMI - when active - the iPad will always direct both video and sound to the HDMI port. This behaviour is not configurable.

I connected with USBc and it happened the same.
Will this be the same behavior with IPAD Pro M2 chip with external monitors?
While I’m currently unable to test and verify this myself, I would not be surprised to learn that an external monitor using DP Alt Mode over USB-C (as supported by M1/M2 CPUs) would be handled in exactly the same manner by iPadOS.
This behavior sucks. I defeats any attempt to use video or audio when using external monitor. My external monitor doesn’t have speakers. Does Apple listen to customer feedback?
