Stand alone Mac Magic Keyboard Backlight not working with Macbook Pro

My Magic Keyboard does not have backlighting and I'm not aware of any Mac Magic Keyboard that does. The one for the iPad however does have backlighting.

As far as I know, it doesn't have backlight capability.
