Changing the Keyboard Brightness in macOS 14 Sonoma:

Add the Keyboard Brightness module to the menu bar or Control Center. It then becomes accessible.

  1. Go here: Turn your Mac Keyboard’s Backlighting On or Off - Apple Support
  2. Read: Tip
  3. As it Reads: "To adjust the brightness, click the Keyboard Brightness icon in the menu bar or in Control Center."

Dimming and Brightening the Keyboard Keys:

Tap the "<" button(the first button in from the far-left group of items on the Touch Bar), to expand the Touch Bar out towards the left and make them visible and accessible. For me, they are just above these three keys: 567

Troubleshooting Mac Camera::

A. Single-Out this User:

For temporary use, create a new Administrator. See what happens when you log in to it. Do you still get this issue? If not, then is it a misconfiguration in the current user. If so, then you'd likely have to resinstall the macOS.

No success?

B. Reinstall the macOS:

Nothing would be lost. It's just that misplaced items would be placed back to where they should be and corrupt system files would be replaced by clean files. Go Here: Reinstall macOS - Apple Support. Use the third bulleted method: [command + r].  Important: Prior to installing an update or performing a reinstallation, to prevent data loss, be sure to Back up your Mac with Time Machine.
