I don't use web gmail as my email client but use mac mail...however whenever I click a link to email someone the browser takes me to web gmail. I want it to go to mac mail!

As I wrote above:
In Mail->Preferences make sure that the default e-mail application is Mail.
So, it is the preferences of Mail:
