black shadow has appeared on the left corner of my iPhone 11

My iPhone 11 has a dark shadow. This has happened several times but I have been able to fix it by popping off the case, this time it has not worked. Do you have any suggestions on what is wrong with my phone and how to fix it? I’ve had it for 4 months now.
