Sent text message sound

Is there not an option to turn off the “swoosh” sound when sending a text message while keeping the received text message notification sound?

iPhone 14 Pro Max, iOS 16

This is infuriating and I'm stunned that it's even a thing. It is beyond invasive to have the sent text sound audible to anyone around you, just because you need to be able to hear texts and calls. That means that in any setting, anyone around me knows I'm texting. This makes me appear rude, and I don't want people to know I'm sending texts in any situation, ever. What the ever loving heck, Apple?

Another user suggested silent mode--well no, it definitely doesn't make that sound on silent mode, but then again, it doesn't make any alert sounds in silent mode, which is a problem. Disabling the "text tone" as many suggest also turns off the text sound notifications.

It's been suggested that I can set custom text sounds for everyone in my contacts--is this 1999 and I'm resetting all of the sounds on Windows one at a time? Seriously?? It's incredibly important to my business that I hear texts from unknown numbers, and less so people in my contact list, so this isn't a solution, either. It's absurd.
