MISSING SCREENS: Swiping LEFT from HOME SCREEN goes to APP LIBRARY

Why am I missing three screens after upgrading my iPhone 8 to iOS Version 16.1.1?

Swiping LEFT from HOME SCREEN goes to APP LIBRARY — missing three screens.

This happened last night. Restart did not fix it. I fiddled around. About half hour later missing three screens appeared.

Happened again this morning.

PROBLEM IS BACK. It happened again on Wednesday, Thursday, and today. Seems to happen after the "Do not disturb" / Sleep period I have set for myself.

On Wednesday and Thursday the missing screens reappeared after I Restarted. Today they did not appear after Restart.

They did appear after I tried this Tip "swipe from the right side of the sensor notch" although I'm not sure I did this correctly.

Hi Enver Masud,

For help with the iPhone Home Screen layout, make sure you have enough available iPhone storage. The information in the article here can assist: How to check the storage on your iPhone and iPad

If you have enough storage, ensure you're arranging your folders and Home Screen with the steps here: Organize your apps in folders on iPhone - Apple Support

"Create folders

  1. Touch and hold the Home Screen background until the apps begin to jiggle.
  2. To create a folder, drag an app onto another app.
  3. Drag other apps into the folder.
  4. You can have multiple pages of apps in the folder.
  5. To rename the folder, touch and hold it, tap Rename, then enter a new name.
  6. If the apps begin to jiggle, tap the Home Screen background and try again.
  7. When you’re finished, tap Done, then tap the Home Screen background twice.

To delete a folder, tap the folder to open it, then drag all the apps out of it. The folder is automatically deleted.

Note: Organizing your apps on the Home Screen doesn’t affect the organization of apps in the App Library."

Should the issue occur again and a normal restart doesn't fix it, reach out to Apple Support directly to further assist.
