Missing custom template in Pages

Hi,

I wanted to use a template I created in August-September and haven’t used since early September. I can see no ‘My templates’ category in Pages and couldn’t find the template by searching from within Pages or on Mac as a whole. Is this a known issue? Can this be a consequence of having installed one of the system updates since the beginning of Sept? Do you have any advice on how to find it?

Kind regards,

zsofia208,

There are a couple of things you can do to find your template:

  • On the Pages menu bar, click File > New From Template Chooser and then click My Templates at the bottom of the template chooser navigation bar.
  • You might be able to find it in this location: On the Finder menu bar, click the Go menu item while holding down the Option key > Library > Containers > com.apple.iWork.Pages > Data > Library > Application Support > User Templates.

Spotlight doesn't search in every folder on your hard drive. On my Lion system, Spotlight doesn't find my templates.
