Lock Screen widgets stop responding - iOS 16

This has been happening since I got a new iPhone 14 pro max from iOS 16.0 to current 16.1.2.

Any variety of widgets from Apple or third parties that I put on any Lock Screen will simply stop responding to touch usually 12-48 hours after reboot. An example is the date above the time widget or the weather or battery or Gmail.

It is certainly not a screen issue because I can see it highlight my tap and I have not other issues with tap/touch and the screen.

This happened on two iPhone 14's (I had the first one replaced because it was spontaneously rebooting)

I have tried removing widgets and adding them back. I tried moving them around. I tried widgets on different lock screens associated to different focuses.

Nothing gets them working again except a reboot of the phone.

I am a bit surprised to not find many other similar reports and makes me think it is something unique to me. This phone was set up from new and NOT restored from a backup. I mention that because it was suspected my backup was corrupted and caused my first iPhone 14 to reboot so when I got the replacement I just set it up as new.

I have been working with support for over a week now and still no resolution. It happens even when the phone is reset and setup as new. The only progress I have made is to determine it seems related to clearing all notifications. It does not happen every time I clear all notifications on the lock screen, but when it does happen, it seems always immediately after clearing all notifications. The Lock Screen will go "blank" where I see nothing but the wall paper and top bar. No camera or flashlight icon until I tap the screen again and then find the widgets not responding to touch until I reboot the phone. It is so weird and I can't understand how this seems to be such an isolated issue to me. I can't find any reference to anyone having similar issues. I suppose I am going to ask for a third replacement phone and see how that goes next. This is an example of how the Lock Screen looks right after clearing notifications and right before seeing the widgets stop responding.
