Text forwarding with Dual Sim

Hello. I have a dual sim on my iPhone 12. I'd like to forward text messaging from my Canadian number (Rogers) to my US number (T mobile) when I am in the US so that I will receive texts sent to my Canadian number when I am in the US. I can forward calls, no problem, but I can't seem to figure out how to do that with texts. Any suggestions? Thanks.

Sorry, I may not have been clear.

I have an iPhone 12MaxPro with dual sim, including an eSIM.

I have a Canadian phone number thru Rogers (primary number) and a secondary (US) phone number from T-mobile using an esim on this same phone.

I use the T-mobile US number when I travel to the US and turn off the Canadian number as roaming charges are very high.

Can I transfer texts from my Canadian number to my American number (on the same phone).

I am able to transfer telephone calls using the call forward feature.

Can I transfer texts as well? Not to an iPad or Mac, but to the other line on the same phone.

Thank you.

Hello Kevin_A_G,

Thank you for reaching out to Apple Support Communities, and we'll be happy to help in any way we can. We understand you have questions about text message forwarding. Try the steps listed ehre to see if they resolve the issue: Forward SMS/MMS text messages from your iPhone to your Mac or iPad - Apple Support

"* If you don't see the Text Message Forwarding setting, go to Settings > Messages. Turn off iMessage, then turn it back on. Tap Send & Receive, tap Use Your Apple ID for iMessage, then sign in with the same Apple ID used on your other devices."

We hope this helps.

Cheers!
