Why are notifications on the bottom of the screen?? And how do I change this?

It looks like you've had a chance to review: Use notifications on your iPhone or iPad. With iOS 16, notifications have moved to the bottom middle of the Lock Screen. There isn't a setting that can be adjusted to change this.
