I am unable to hear anything on my ipad. It is not on mute. I have done multiple hard reboots. The volume is up and nothing is heard. There is no sound on keyboard typing, etc. Not sure what other steps can be taken at this point.
I'm immediately regretting upgrading at this point.

Thanks for the response. I did complete all the steps minus reporting the bug yesterday. Coming to the support forums was my last restort.
None of these steps helped me unfortunately.

Troubleshooting iPad Audio:
A. Start with a Restart:
B. Try this Link: If you Hear No Sound or Distorted Sound from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch Speaker - Apple Support
C. Report this to Apple:
Did you recently update your iPad?
Do your part: Let Apple know what is going on here. Provide them with feedback on this. They may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they received on this, the more they will know what is going on, and what needs to be fixed in updates to come.
D. Update to the Most Recent iPad OS:
Use a Computer to Update. Read My User Tip: Making Use of a Computer for Updating an iOS Device - User Tip
Important: Be certain to create back up your iPad prior to this update. That way, you can have something to restore your iPad from the backup, should anything go wrong afterward

Troubleshooting iPad Volume:
A. Volume Limit:
Increase the Volume Limit: Go to: Settings > Music > Disable: Volume Limit
B. Power the iPad:
Turn the iPad off, and then turn it back on. Do so using the power key.
C. Manually Restart your iPad:
Having made a change, restarting it, manually: Restart your iPad - Apple Support
D. Use Siri:
Ask Siri on iPad - Apple Support Say something like: “Turn up the volume” or “Turn down the volume.” Learn how to ask Siri.
