My Apple TV remote does not skip forward or rewind 10 seconds anymore when clicking the right or left side, it only pauses.

Those actions are functions of the app being used, not the Apple TV. For example, the Amazon app no longer allows a pause and then scroll forward. you have to hold down the right button and wait for the fast forward to start. Other apps don’t allow you to fast forward through commercials at all.
Again, the apps themselves are in control of this, not the hardware.
I have the opposite of this happening on YouTube tv where it will skip ten seconds instead of pausing and I have to reset my device to get it to fix was not happening a month ago…
That’s correct. The problem was corrected by deleting and reinstalling the app. Thank you.
Hopefully this is fixed on the next update! It's so much more trouble now to watch TV shows skipping through commercials!
