adjust keyboard backlight using function keys on macbook air m2

Hi, I recently purchased an M2 Macbook Air. On my previous Air, I was able to use the function keys (F5 and F6) to adjust the keyboard backlight. On this new mac those keys no longer do that. I'm hoping there is a way to re-map the function?

M2 Macbook Air keyboard backlight I just got an M2 Air and realized there is no button for adjusting the keyboard backlight brightness like on my old MacBook. I know that I can do it from the control center on the menu bar, but I'd prefer to have a keyboard button for it if possible. Keyboard Brightness I've just purchased a new 16" MacBook Pro M1. I see there is no keyboard brightness adjustment buttons on the physical keyboard anymore. The significant issue I have with the keyboard brightness adjustment now being located in the Control Centre is when I'm in a very dark room and trying to log into my machine using the passcode (happen a lot), it's so dark I can't see the keys to enter my passcode. On my old MacBook Pro, I used to be able to simply hit the keyboard brightness buttons on the physical keyboard. This is a serious UX flaw. Is there any way to reassign a Function Key/s to serve as a button control like the prior models? Thanks in advance.

Function Key shortcuts on MacBook I recently upgraded from my 2015 MacBook pro to the new 2023 model and would like to change the function key shortcuts back to how they were on the old model, as I have absolutely 0 use for Spotlight search to be on my function keys as I can simply use cmd+space for that and also do not need dictation or focus as I dont use either of the two. So I would like to change it so that F4 opens Launchpad and F5/F6 controll the brightness of the keyboard, how can I change that?
