SMB not working properly with Mac Studio

It appears Apple has modified SMB in the Mac Studio similarly to what they did with the early iMac pros. Any download or file transfer over 150-200 GB will progressively slow to a crawl, freeze the machine, and ultimately cause a kernel panic (the iMac pro issue is documented here. The fix in that previous community thread still works fine for the Mac Studio version of the issue, but it would be preferable if Apple would fix it instead of us needing to employ a workaround every time one of these machines is rebooted.
