iPad lock screen font style/size

I just updated to iOs 16.1.1 on my iPad; like many, I hate the size and font of the time display (and I hate when superficial things aren't left alone, but that's my own opinion).

I have read seemingly every discussion and tried every suggestion and none of them work for me. Nothing happens if I hold down the lock screen; it just goes dark again after a minute. Nothing happens if I change the wallpaper. No edit options come up *anywhere* in settings or with widgets.

Can someone please help me? I recognize it's trivial but I look at it often and it's making me crazy. Thanks!

Unlike iOS 16 on the iPhone, iPadOS 16, currently, has NO Lock screen customisation features.

Unlike iOS16 for iPhone, iPadOS 16 for iPad does not [yet] support lock screen customisation.

Likewise, Widgets and the new active Astronomy and Weather Wallpapers are currently exclusive to iOS16.x for iPhone.

You are not the first (and are unlikely to be the last) to be unhappy about the current choice of font for the iPad lock screen. Apple do invite submission of constructive comments and feature requests via its Product Feedback portal - this being the most appropriate channel through which to express your thoughts to Apple. Hello

This is one feature that is only exclusive to iOS 16. Customizing the Lock Screen further cannot be done on iPad, in other words. You can customize the Home Screen to display an analog clock for the current time, or you can turn on the bold text feature on in Accessibility in Settings which will also bold the time in the top right (or top left, depending on the orientation).

I think many people have this same request, including me. I wish the great Lock Screen came to iPad too. I think Apple might bring this to the next update (iPadOS 17) I’m guessing, just like they did with Widgets on the Home Screen and App Library recently.
