Airpods Pro 2nd, muffled voice

I have 2 pairs of Airpods Pro, 1st and 2nd generation.

1st generation: The incoming voice making a call is excellent, loud, and crisp. But... people hardly are hearing me, muffled and gets cut off

the opposite

2nd. The incoming voices are sounding not clear and muffled, but they hear me very well.

Is there a solution for 2nd generation, to make incoming calls sound as good as the 1st one?

We'd recommend cleaning the AirPods.

How to clean your AirPods, AirPods Pro, AirPods Max, and EarPods - Apple Support

After cleaning them if the issue persists, take a moment to also reset them.

How to reset your AirPods and AirPods Pro - Apple Support

"Put your AirPods in their charging case, and close the lid.
Wait 30 seconds.
Open the lid of your charging case.
With your AirPods in your ears and connected to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch, go to Settings > Bluetooth, or Settings > [your AirPods], and tap the More Info button next to your AirPods. If you don't see your AirPods in Settings > Bluetooth or in Settings > [your AirPods], just go to the next step.
Tap Forget This Device, and tap again to confirm.
With the lid open, press and hold the setup button on the back of the case for about 15 seconds, until the status light on the front of the case flashes amber, then white.*
Reconnect your AirPods: With your AirPods in their charging case and the lid open, place your AirPods close to your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch. Follow the steps on your device's screen."

I did, and they told me that they could replace it with another pair but a refurbished one. Therefore I decided to ask the community if anyone has issues with incoming muffled voice hearing during the conversation, or maybe I have a defective unit, that I purchased from Walmart. Airpods are not easy to return to repair them. Airpods Pro 1st is almost perfect, except for the low quality of the outgoing voice. So, in order for me to see if this is normal, I need to get another pair, but from Apple direct this time.
