Airpods pro 2nd gen and ipod nano 7th gen: no sound

My new airpods pro 2nd gen connect to my ipod nano 7th gen but there is no sound. I can even pause and restart whatever is playing, I just can't hear the song. The airpods work fine with other devices and the ipod works fine with other airpod models. Someone reported the same issue 2 months ago, and it looks like it's a firmware issue that hasn't been addressed yet. Forgetting the device and reconnecting it didn't work.

Hello cynce6,

AirPods Pro (2nd generation) are compatible with iPod touch (7th generation).

You mentioned that the AirPods Pro (2nd generation) work with other devices; to help us better assist you, can you let us know if you were able to try using them with a compatible iPod model? If so, did that work as expected?

That information will help us get a better understanding of the situation.

Please review the "Compatibility" section of the following link, which outlines which devices are compatible with AirPods Pro (2nd generation), and may be helpful: AirPods Pro (2nd generation) - Technical Specifications
