My MacBook Air ( 13" Early 2014) is running on OX X Yosemite. I've tried downloading Mac OS Ventura but the message I receive is that since my mac OS is a 10.10.5 version and Ventura is 10.12 that my computer is not compatible. How can I solve this issue?

are you attempting the download over wi-fi? when possible, you should perform macOS downloads with a wired ethernet connection. if this is not possible, (mac has no ethernet port) you should move the mac as close as possible to the router, and temporarily remove your other devices from the wi-fi. you need the most bandwidth going to the mac as you can get while downloading a macOS. I would trash the current High Sierra installer and start over.
an early 2014 MBA cannot run Ventura. it can only be upgraded to Big Sur and no further. and if you want Big Sur, it is advisable to upgrade to High Sierra first, and then on to Big Sur.
You would need at minimum a 2018 or later MacBook Air for Ventura.
