black and unresponsive iphone
I plugged my iPhone in for bed and when I went to look at it about 4 hours later It had gone completely black and will not turn on no matter what I do. It is completely unresponsive

I would suspect the charger is not providing charge and the phone may be drained.
Check that first then go here
Phone frozen or will not turn on, logo Bootloop or Stuck on apple logo

Do this sequence which starts with Forced Restart then goes onto Recovery Mode.Â

Try to use the Update option. There is no guarantee you can save any data since your last backup if you need to use the Restore option.
