M2 MacBook Air cannot edit list in Contacts

On Ventura 13.0.1.

I can create a list but I cannot (1) add a contact to a list or (2) remove a contact from a list or (3) remove a list.

simply do not work.

The good news: I can create, edit and delete contact lists on my iPad Air 3.

Apple Contacts on MacBook Pro and Ventura using Lists For the last several versions of Contacts, including the latest (Version 2538.3.1), after adding new contacts to the Contacts app on my 16" MacBook Pro M1 Max I always have to quit and restart the Contacts app to be able to drag any contacts to a list, same thing if I want to remove any contacts from a list. It doesn't seem to be a problem on my iPhone or iPad, just the MacBook Pro. Is anyone else seeing this issue, and is there a solution? It's not a new problem, just worse with the latest version of Ventura (13.2).

Can't add contacts to a list - or delete a list In macOS 13.3.1(a) on my MacBook Air M1, using the Contacts app, I can create a List, but I can't add contacts to it (or to an older list). When I drag the contact on top of the list it does not become solid blue and the contact is not added. Similarly, I cannot delete a list. Note that if I close the Contacts app, and start again, I can successfully drag contacts into lists and delete lists - for a short while - then all of a sudden, I can drag contacts where ever I wish, but nothing happens. Also at this time, I can not delete lists. These functions work ok on my iPhone and in iCloud. Sometimes the MacBook Air does not sync contact changes with the iPhone and iCloud. Other times it does sync, but still does not allow me to drag contacts into a list. I think I have had this problem for a while, but I'm not sure.

Can't add a new Contact in macOS Ventura I have a 2019 27" iMac, and my contacts database is at least ten years old. I can't add a new contact using Apple macOS Ventura built-in Contacts app. This was a problem in Big Spur, but I never fixed it. I only used a workaround of entering new contacts via my iPad or iPhone.

I have tested on a 2017 21.5" iMac 4K running Ventura 3.0.1 and the issues did not occur.
