iphone14 won’t backup bc icloud storage is full bc there’s 50g but i’d like to backup to my phones internal storage seeing as it’s 256g

storage and backup issues. i’d like to backup icloud (50g) to phone internal (256g) because it makes sense. but won’t allow me to do any sort of backup bc storage is full or almost in icloud but there’s plenty of space internally

There are two places you may keep back up of an iPhone / iPad and they are iCloud or iTunes.


backup is a copy of all the data on device (iPhone / iPad) that is kept on an alternative location, so it can be recovered if the device gets lost or damaged.


What is on iCloud is on your iPhone / iPad and vice-versa. If you delete a data / photo / video on iPhone the same is deleted on iCloud and vice-versa.
