Sorting reminders in by morning afternoon tonight in Reminders on iPad
Why can’t I sort tasks by morning, afternoon and tonight on iPad Reminders? I can do this on iPhone.

Which version of iPadOS is currently installed on your iPad? We ask to make sure you have upgraded Reminders: Upgrading the Reminders app in iOS 13 or later - Apple Support
If Reminders has been upgraded, make sure you are following the steps for "Create a custom Smart List" in the following support article:
Organize reminders on your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch - Apple Support
That section also explains how to convert existing lists into Smart List, so that you have the option to choose time of day.
